Uji is famed for its high-quality matcha, so visiting local tea houses and trying matcha sweets is a must. Nakano Broadway in Tokyo is another excellent destination for chirashi don lovers, with fresh, artistic sushi bowls that showcase vibrant ingredients. When exploring food options, don’t miss chirashi bowls at Ikebukuro, where traditional flavors meet cozy dining atmospheres. If you prefer a more immersive culinary experience, omakase meals in Tokyo and Osaka provide a carefully curated progression of dishes by expert chefs, perfect for adventurous foodies. Aside from food, consider exploring Kamakura as a day trip from Tokyo—it’s rich with temples, scenic hiking trails, and a relaxed beach vibe. For unique activities, workshops in Kyoto focus on traditional crafts like pottery or calligraphy, offering memorable hands-on experiences. If you enjoy hot springs but worry about tattoo restrictions, several onsen resorts in the Kansai region welcome tattooed guests; researching these beforehand will ensure a relaxing visit. Overall, balancing iconic spots with hidden gems ensures a fulfilling, genuine Japan adventure that caters to your every interest.

hi i’m staying in Tokyo for about two months almost and longer soon. if you plan to do some shopping i recommend: - Harajuku for Japanese subculture fashion - 2nd Street for cheaper branded goods - Loft and Hands for stationary - Ikebukuro and Nakano Broadway for anime (Akihabara if you want some premium anime merch) - Ikebukuro for some casual shopping (namely Sunshine City) - Ueno for food markets For day trips (sight seeing) - 100% recommend to visit Oarai, the aquarium and the Oarai Isosaki Shrine. it’s really beautiful especially with the sunset - If you are visiting Oarai, you can visit Hitachi Seaside park first which is nearby the area - Yoyogi Park is really beautiful place to eat and chill other things: - strawberry picking in Ichigo no sato farm - Matcha passport in tokyo. any qns feel free to ask
