First Influencer Event
Got to attend a wonderful event with @felohapp @naacp_cleveland @thepresidentscouncil celebrating and honoring Black hair and The Crown Act of Ohio! Meet so many wonderful people, networked with a lot of original black owned skincare and hair brands. I can’t wait for next years event 👑

The First Influencer Event brought together community leaders, influencers, and beauty brands to shine a light on the importance of Black hair representation. With participation from organizations like the NAACP Cleveland and The Presidents' Council, the gathering focused on The Crown Act, a vital legislation aimed at protecting individuals from discrimination based on their natural hair textures and hairstyles in schools and workplaces. Participants enjoyed a day filled with networking and inspiration, meeting original black-owned skincare and hair care brands dedicated to inclusive beauty. This event not only celebrated Black beauty but also aimed at educating attendees about the adverse effects of hair discrimination, fostering a sense of community and support. As the dialogue around inclusivity in beauty continues to grow, events like these serve to empower individuals and encourage them to live authentically. As we look forward to next year’s gathering, the energy and passion witnessed at this event remind us of the collective effort needed to ensure everyone can embrace their true selves without fear of judgment.
