It's true, I get asked all the time about which markers I use! While my original post mentioned my absolute faves, Copic and Prismacolor, I really want to dive deeper and share more about my art marker journey. Because honestly, it's not just about having the 'best' markers; it's about understanding what each type can do and how to pick the right tools for your creative vision. My love affair with Copic markers started years ago, and for good reason. Their refillable nature and blendability are just unmatched. They're excellent for layering and creating softer looks compared to the bold intensity of alcohol markers. Then there are acrylic markers, which are fantastic for working on surfaces beyond paper, like canvas or even customizing objects. And for those times you need something truly robust, permanent marker pens are indispensable, especially for outlining or specific craft projects, including using permanent paint markers for plastic and glass to customize anything from mugs to phone cases! Maybe something that can write on almost any surface? Don't be afraid to try different brands and types. My biggest tip? Start with a smaller set of quality markers, organize them by color, and learn their capabilities.
