Big sister advice - points to focus on

This is one that honestly took some time & yet to this day is a constant practice. I, like many of us, have a big heart and so at times, I will do this thing call “check ups” and see if the environments or people are now conducive to hold the entirety of my being mutually in coexistance to who they are as well. Usually that has gone terrible wrong so in the gift of respecting all of you & all of me mutually, I started to focus on keeping closed doors shut. In not oversharing prematurely. In respecting myself spiritually, physically, emotionally & mentally is to upkeep myself. I realize that “maintenance” is constantly needed in these areas & an every day practice as one can only truly maintain something by constantly focusing on perserving it. This can also slowly leak into watching the company you keep as you may not be them & they may not be you BUT one action can land you very alike to one another & if thats not where you would like to be, I would watch where you get your advice & where you present yourself.

Lastly, a woman of virtue-a woman of value & a woman far worthier than anything else is a woman in THE word. The only living word that has stood the test of time, trials, changes, & all else. Scripturally, im working on it. Physically, Im training my mind & body to be in accordance. Emotionally, im bleeding but im mutually letting God heal me even if that means cutting me wide open in order to do so.

Its hard but its also hard to have a rude awakening every so many years because you choose what seemed easy at the time. 🤎

With love, one sister to another.

This practice protects your emotional energy and helps you maintain a strong sense of self. Regular "check ups" with your environment and relationships can reveal if the spaces you occupy truly support your growth or if it's time to step back and protect your peace. Maintaining yourself is not a one-time effort but a daily practice spanning physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental health. Whether through exercise, mindfulness, prayer, or self-reflection, consistent attention to these areas preserves your well-being and empowers resilience against life's challenges. The metaphor of "not opening doors that have been shut" serves as a reminder to respect past boundaries and experiences — protecting yourself from revisiting negative patterns or relationships that no longer serve you. Moreover, the company you keep greatly influences your mindset and values. Because actions and attitudes can subtly align through association, it's crucial to surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you to grow in the right direction. Seek advice from trustworthy sources that resonate with your authentic self, and always represent yourself honestly. A woman of virtue and value, as highlighted in the original advice, finds strength in living by "the Word"—a foundation that offers wisdom enduring through time and trials. This spiritual grounding supports healing even through emotional hardship, enabling transformation and growth. While the journey can be challenging, embracing growth over ease leads to lasting fulfillment. In summary, honoring your boundaries, staying mindful of your company, and nurturing all dimensions of yourself create a strong path forward. This big sister advice encourages an empowered, authentic life lived with love and self-respect.
