Con mi amiguita! With my friend 🥰🍋🫶🌸
How wonderful it is when people recognize you, when they remember how you have behaved. How wonderful it is that children have good memories and remember how you have treated them. How wonderful it is when people who aren't family come up to you when you're out and about, people who always remember how you treated them in the past. How lovely! Here's my little friend, and she always remembers coming to my house to swim. She was little back then, I think, about four or five years old. How wonderful it feels to be seen and hugged. How wonderful! I thank God because He has always given me this Charisma and this gift with children and dogs. And how wonderful it feels when they come up and say, "Hello, do you remember me, I’m the little girl who swam in the pool?" things like that. Are you still have the pool, and they even ask for your phone number. That's so beautiful. We should always show love and kindness, above all humility, to others, because the attitude we show towards others is the image we leave behind. We should reflect the character, kindness, and love of Christ towards others!@Cosmochickncy #myfriends💕 #thankyouforbeingafriend #remeberthosedays
The heartwarming feeling of being remembered by a "little friend," an *amiguita*, is truly one of life's greatest blessings. My recent encounter with the sweet young girl who used to swim at my house, now all grown up, brought back so many wonderful memories. It got me thinking about what it takes to build and nurture these special connections, especially with children. It's not just about grand gestures; it's the everyday kindness that leaves an indelible mark. For me, it starts with genuine presence. When I'm with a young girl – whether we're taking a selfie in a store aisle or just chatting – I make sure to be fully engaged. Kids, much like dogs, have an amazing radar for authenticity. They know when you're truly listening and when you're just going through the motions. That's why I believe my "gift with children" isn't magic, but simply a commitment to being open, loving, and truly present in those moments. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is the importance of creating a safe and joyful space. Our pool, for instance, wasn't just a place to swim; it was a haven where kids could splash, laugh, and be completely themselves without judgment. It’s about more than just the physical space; it’s the emotional atmosphere you cultivate. Making sure they feel heard, valued, and safe is paramount. I’ve noticed how a simple gesture, like a warm hug or a compliment on their pink shirt with a daisy sticker, can light up their entire day and deepen their trust. Another key aspect is remembering the little things. Children are incredibly observant. They notice if you remember their favorite game, their pet's name, or that silly story they told you last week. These small acts of remembrance show them they matter, that they are important enough for you to hold space for them in your memory. It’s not about having a perfect memory, but about making an effort to connect on their level. My "amiguita" remembering the pool after all these years is a testament to those consistent, kind interactions. It’s also about reciprocity. While we aim to be a positive influence, these young friends teach us so much in return. Their unfiltered joy, their boundless energy, and their honest perspectives can refresh our spirits. They remind us to find wonder in the everyday, to forgive quickly, and to love unconditionally. Seeing a smiling woman interact with a young girl, both radiating happiness, embodies this beautiful exchange. Ultimately, fostering these lasting bonds with our "amiguitas" boils down to embodying the kindness, love, and humility that we wish to see in the world. It’s about leaving a positive impression, not just for the sake of being remembered, but because it enriches our lives and theirs. These relationships are treasures, and every act of kindness we invest in them comes back to us tenfold in memories and love.
