i read the first three books in the monsters and muses series yearsss ago & this is made me want to read them all from the beginning.
i’m obsessed w the fiery energy between our two main characters!
the pacing in this is amazing. the buildup was so good. but @ my abandonment issues.
also loved the mysteriousness of the setting in regards to the secret society/college aspect. the only thing i didn’t love was how gory some it was. the descriptions weren’t over the top, but what was described was enough in and of itself.
i would also like to note that the way the pov chapters are are slotted together is really refreshing. it’s not like this happened in one scene for her and then this immediately happened in the next scene for him.
we don’t see every little detail and that allows the author to give us credit as readers to put together the pieces of these characters and events.
the sex was, of course, amazing. sav always writes intimate scenes so well and i love a kink ;)
