Seed Bead Hoops 🌺🌼🌸
The next two weeks, you guys can anticipate a whole collection of flower jewelry! Spring time is officially here, my taxes are done, and it now feels like I have nothing weighing on my shoulders😆 after taking a break from making earrings to work on a collection of suncatchers, I now have lots of ideas that I want to work on for this next collection!
I’m curious what you guys think of this design with the seed beads, I’m not sure if dangling the flower in the middle was a little bit “too much” with the hoop around it already being made with seed beads.. at this point, I’m just having fun playing with colors!😄 let me know if you have any color combining suggestions, if you already know me.. you know I’ll probably have at least 10 pairs in different colors hahaha!

As someone who’s also passionate about making jewelry, I’ve found that playing with seed beads offers endless opportunities for creativity, especially when combined into hoop designs. One tip I’ve learned is to balance the detail—when you add a dangling flower inside a hoop already made with seed beads, sometimes less can be more, but it really depends on the look you're aiming for. I usually experiment with different color schemes to create contrast or harmony; soft pastels for a delicate spring vibe or bright hues for a bold statement. Trying out color combinations is definitely one of the most enjoyable parts of making spring-inspired flower jewelry. I’ve noticed that using complementary colors, such as pairing blue seed beads with orange accents, really makes the flower pop. Also, mixing matte and shiny beads adds interesting texture and depth to the design. Since spring is a time of renewal and freshness, incorporating floral motifs like daisies or cherry blossoms has been a popular choice in my collections as well. For those new to wirewrapped jewelry, starting with hoops made from simple wire and adding seed beads can be a great way to get comfortable with shaping and securing your materials. There are plenty of jewelry tutorials available online that can help with mastering these techniques. What I love about creating pieces like these is that each pair can tell a story and match your mood or outfit perfectly. Whether you’re selling your designs or gifting them, handmade flower jewelry always brings a personal touch that’s appreciated. Overall, embracing spring with a fresh collection full of seed bead hoop earrings is a fantastic creative journey. Keep experimenting with color, flower placement, and bead types, and don’t be afraid to mix styles until you find a look that feels just right for you. Happy jewelry making this spring season!
