Finally! different shaped models!
I understand most people in leggings have very slender bodies but I don’t have that body type and it’s hard for me to imagine how the item would look on me. A lot of clothing and lingerie brands need this (the same item shown on different sized models). I would also love to see shoes modeled by someone who doesn’t have big arches. It would be less depressing when I receive the items and they don’t look remotely close on me.
The fashion industry is gradually recognizing the significance of body diversity, yet many brands still fall short in this area. When shopping online, potential buyers often face frustrations as they visualize how a piece of clothing will look on their unique body types. For instance, leggings or lingerie modeled by slender individuals can alienate customers with different shapes and sizes. This disconnect highlights the urgent need for brands to adopt a more inclusive representation strategy, showcasing every item on models of all body shapes. Studies show that when consumers see clothing modeled by diverse body types, they feel more motivated to purchase, resulting in increased sales and brand loyalty. Moreover, footwear brands should also consider representing alternatives for individuals with distinct foot shapes, including those without high arches. By featuring diverse body types in marketing campaigns and online stores, companies can foster a more relatable and encouraging shopping environment for everyone, affirming that style transcends size. Ultimately, embracing models of different shapes not only benefits consumers but also enhances brand credibility and promotes a positive shift in the fashion narrative.
