Did I screw up by telling my friend she’s not cute
There’s my best guy friend, we’ve been tight since high school. Then a mutual friend we both know. The anonying friend who’s now part of our crew too. Anyways, that anonying friend acts like everyone’s as obsessed with her as she is. Talks to most people especially other girls like they’re beneath her. She thinks she’s a fashion icon but dresses like a 2006 suburban mom. Plus, she brags about being “the smartest in the room.”
Now, switch to our the mutual friend who is a sweetheart but a little awkward. A few nights ago, me, my best guy friend, and that anonying friend were hanging. We got on dating, and my guy friend asked why doesn’t the mutal friend date more. The girl said: ""look at her, she’s not exactly gonna get the same shots I do."" I was so sick of her crap. I said: ""you'd think she'd have men begging at her feet, since even you can get one."" She looked hurt and I should’ve stopped but she said: “What’s that supposed to mean?” And I just went: “Are you serious? You’re not even that pretty.”
So be honest, did I cross a line? Should I apologize or was she just getting what she had coming?

I mean you addressed her as annoying. if you’re friends with her and you don’t like how she does things or speaks. that friendship should just end. i also think it was good you stood up for your friend, but you let your emotions get the best of you. i think since you let it build up it probably made matters worse. sometimes though with certain people they won’t listen until you do snap at them or something. i will say if she says something about your mutual friend with you there, she definitely says things about you when you’re not there.
