Aritzia Lace Shorts Product Review

I wanted to love these Aritzia lace shorts, because I really am into the shade butter yellow this season. However, they are see-through so I don’t feel comfortable wearing them outside.

You can go down a size because it runs large given that it has an elastic waistband. The price is $98 and it does come in multiple shades.

The lace trim is really beautiful on it.

Would you wear these shorts?

... Read moreWhen I first tried on those beautiful Aritzia butter yellow lace shorts with their delicate white lace trim, I was instantly captivated by the color and design – they really are stunning! However, as many of us discover with certain trending pieces, the reality of wearing them out can be a bit different from the initial vision. The original review highlighted the sheerness, which is a big consideration, especially for everyday wear. But don't despair if you're still eyeing a pair of Aritzia lace shorts or similar delicate styles! There are definitely ways to make them work, or to find alternatives that better suit your comfort level and lifestyle. Let's talk about styling those sheer beauties. If you decide to embrace the trend, layering is your best friend. A pair of skin-toned or white seamless bike shorts underneath can provide that much-needed opacity without compromising the aesthetic too much. Alternatively, consider wearing them over a swimsuit as a chic beach or poolside cover-up – perfect for summer vacations! For a bolder look, you could even try a contrasting color slip. I've seen some fashionistas pair their sheer shorts with oversized graphic tees or long, flowy tunics that cover just enough to make them feel more appropriate for a casual daytime outing. The key is to balance the sheerness with more coverage on top or underneath. Beyond styling, let's dive deeper into Aritzia sizing, especially for shorts with an elastic waistband like these. My experience aligns with the original review – they do tend to run a bit large, giving a relaxed fit. If you're between sizes or prefer a slightly more fitted look, sizing down is often a good call with Aritzia's elasticated bottoms. Always check the specific garment's size chart and read reviews, as Aritzia's fit can vary slightly between collections and fabrics. It's truly a game-changer to know what others are saying about the specific item you're looking at! If the transparency of the Aritzia lace shorts is a deal-breaker for you, but you're still craving that airy, feminine vibe, there are other fantastic options to explore. Aritzia itself offers several linen or Tna Butter shorts styles that provide more coverage while still being incredibly comfortable and stylish. Look for linen-blend shorts with a similar relaxed fit and perhaps a subtle embroidered detail if you love the lace aesthetic but need more practicality. Sometimes, investing in a slightly different fabric or style can make all the difference in how often you actually wear a piece. Finally, a quick note on caring for delicate items like lace shorts. To keep that beautiful white lace trim looking its best, I always recommend hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent, or using a delicate cycle in a mesh laundry bag. Lay them flat to dry to maintain their shape and prevent any snagging or stretching of the delicate fabric. Taking that extra step in care ensures your pieces last longer and look great every time you wear them. Ultimately, whether these Aritzia lace shorts are for you comes down to your personal style, comfort level, and how you envision incorporating them into your wardrobe. Happy styling!
