I find that focusing on whole, minimally processed plant foods helps avoid late-night sluggishness. Incorporating legumes, leafy greens, and healthy fats creates a nutrient-dense plate that supports digestion and keeps hunger at bay. For instance, hummus provides plant-based protein and healthy fats, while spinach is packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Additionally, eating light after 6pm aids in maintaining a stable blood sugar level overnight and supports better sleep quality. To keep the meal interesting, I like experimenting with different spices or adding a splash of lemon juice to brighten the flavors. Overall, if you are unable to work out in the evening, opting for a clean, light, plant-based dinner like the Bara with hummus and spinach can be both satisfying and beneficial to your overall wellness journey.
