I made this purchase during the pandemic when Ideal Image began seizing services.
Ideal Image... 10 OUT OF 10👐🏽👐🏽💕, even though towards the end they were being reluctant to perform full treatment to an area because the hair growth had seized in about 95 percent of the area, I had to constantly reinforce treating the full area which was annoying and I didn't even receive treatment for my last 2 sessions because of the pandemic shutdown.
Fast forward, I've witnessed a return of hair growth in recent years although the results had lasted a long time and my skin looked extremely healthy.
I purchased the Lumi hoping I could regain control of the hair growth, but this device is a no for me.
I followed the instructions and the weekly regimen, but by the
time I reached level 4 I experienced dark rectangle laser burns, equivalent to the size of the laser face, that lasted a week... and this is my face mind you🫠! After a second attempt with the same outcome, I decided to hand it up.
Yesterday I revisited this device after storing it away for a year and the laser isn't functioning.
From my personal journey with laser hair removal, I've learned that results and experiences can vary widely depending on the treatment method and device used. Initially, going through professional sessions at Ideal Image provided outstanding results that lasted for years, significantly reducing hair growth and improving skin appearance. However, the disruptions caused by the pandemic, such as service shutdowns, can greatly affect the continuity and effectiveness of treatments. When I attempted to regain control using the Lumi at-home laser device, I discovered that not all devices guarantee safety or efficacy for personal use. Following the instructions strictly still led to painful laser burns, highlighting the importance of cautious use and the risks of DIY laser treatments. It’s crucial for users to perform patch tests and proceed gently, especially on sensitive areas like the face. Moreover, the mechanical reliability of at-home laser devices can be questionable, as seen when the Lumi device completely stopped working after a year in storage. This emphasizes the importance of investing in quality and clinically approved devices or continuing with professional treatments for assured results. In addition, my skin remained healthy overall, which shows that long-term professional laser hair removal can improve skin texture while reducing hair growth. Still, patience and regular maintenance sessions might be necessary to sustain the outcomes. For anyone considering laser hair removal, whether professionally or at home, thorough research and consultation with dermatologists are advisable. Understanding the risks, expected outcomes, and the need for consistent aftercare can help achieve better and safer results. Being aware of potential device malfunctions or side effects like laser burns is also key to managing expectations and ensuring skin safety.
