✨ I have this insane urge to just up and delete my ⏰ account and start fresh. I have what most consider a decent following, but I’m worried when I started I had my I had my priorities wrong.

✨ I wasn’t confident, I used filters left and right, I was worried about followers instead of community and engagement, and I did so many smivieaways.

✨My content evolved and I’m worried my target audience did too.

✨ I’m thinking starting fresh to build a closer community.

... Read moreHey everyone, diving deeper into this whole 'Should I restart my TikTok?' dilemma, I've been thinking a lot about the crucial aspect of 'tiktok productivity' and what that truly means for a creator like me, especially in the BookTok space. It’s easy to get caught up in the numbers – followers, likes, views – but true productivity, I'm realizing, is about the impact and connection you build. When I first started, I definitely wasn't focused on a productive strategy. It was more about getting content out, often relying on filters and quick trends. Now, with my content evolving into 'longer form content' and even 'new audiobook content,' I'm finding that my approach to creation needs to be more intentional and, well, productive. One big lesson for me has been in content planning. Instead of scrambling for ideas daily, I've started batching my creation sessions. This means dedicating specific days to filming multiple videos or even recording segments for my 'audiobook content.' It drastically cuts down on setup and teardown time, and I can maintain a more consistent visual style with improved 'lighting' and 'better editing' without the need for 'filters'. This approach instantly feels more productive than the 'smivieaways' and haphazard posting I used to do. It also allows me to focus on quality over quantity, which I believe is key to rebuilding genuine 'engagement' and attracting the right 'target audience' for my BookTok niche. Another aspect of 'tiktok productivity' that keeps coming up is how we engage. I used to worry so much about reaching a huge follower count that I neglected the 'community' I already had. Now, I'm thinking about how to make my engagement more meaningful. Going 'live' consistently, as I'm becoming more comfortable with, feels like a really productive way to connect. It allows for real-time conversations, deeper discussions about books, and helps foster that 'closer community' I crave. Responding thoughtfully to comments and direct messages, even if it takes time, is also a highly productive use of my energy because it builds loyalty and genuine connections. And let's talk about analytics – something I honestly overlooked in the past. To be truly productive, I need to understand what my audience responds to. Are my 'audiobook sales' videos performing well? What kind of '2024 Quarterly Wrap Up' content gets the most saves? By analyzing these metrics, I can refine my content strategy to focus on what brings the most value to my viewers and, in turn, boosts my own creator productivity. This helps me avoid wasting time on content that doesn't resonate and instead focus on what truly helps my 'community' grow. Ultimately, whether I restart or not, the goal is to be a more productive and authentic creator. It's about consciously choosing to build value, foster a real community, and streamline my process so my passion for books can shine through without the past pressures of chasing vanity metrics. What are your own tips for staying productive on TikTok, especially when your content and audience are evolving?

Maybe you can start a new one and keep the old one as a backup account ? That way those that still engaging/enjoying the content can follow you on your new account . I have no idea tho, I’m not a content creator lol
