Okuno Building in Ginza with 93 years of history 🏬
It was one of the most luxurious apartments in Ginza.
It was the first private residence in Japan to have an elevator and telephone lines in each room, so it must have been the latest building that has been around for 100 years ✨
It might have been something like what we now call a tower apartment 😊✨
What surprised me was that the ruins escaped the fire of World War II.
It is also a building that withstood earthquakes.
I stayed at a hotel right in front of this building, but I was impressed by the taste of the old building of Okuno Building ✨ 🩷
奥野ビルは戦前に建てられた歴史的な雑居ビルですが、中に入ると昭和の香りが漂う独特の廊下が印象的です。狭く曲がりくねった廊下は、当時の建築様式を今に伝えており、歩くだけでタイムスリップしたような感覚になります。 また、廊下には大小さまざまな店舗や事務所がひしめき合っており、雑居ビルならではの多様な顔ぶれを見ることができます。壁のペイントや電灯のデザインなども昔ながらのままで、レトロ好きにはたまらない空間です。 私が訪れた時は夕暮れ時で、窓から差し込む薄明かりが廊下の木の質感やタイルに柔らかく映え、一層ノスタルジックな雰囲気を味わえました。普段は日常の中で見過ごしてしまう場所も、こうした歴史ある雑居ビルの廊下をゆっくり歩くことで新たな魅力を発見できると思います。 銀座の中心で、見逃しがちなこうしたレトロスポットの廊下や共有スペースは、地域の歴史や人々の生活の痕跡を今に伝える大切な場所です。奥野ビルの廊下を 実際に感じながら、その中に秘められた時代の空気を体感してみてはいかがでしょうか。
