making a Traveling Trinket Box! 🌸

Making a trinket box to bring to Bloom Room shows as an engagement activity!

I see a bunch of posts on tiktok about places that have a trinket exchange box that you can go to and exchange trinkets, and it got me thinking…

“What if i made a mobile one to bring to people?”

At Bloom Room Collective we put on live music events and play shows all the time and we want to give people excuses to come hang out in the community and meet some folks. A trinket exchange box gives you the perfect opportunity to run into someone and strike up conversation over some cute whimsical trinkets and even better if it’s at a Bloom Room event/show you also get to listen to some cool music 😌

so come out to our shows and maybe make a new friend :)

... Read moreMaking a traveling trinket box is a fantastic way to foster community engagement and create unique experiences at events. I decided to repurpose an old caboodle case, which is the perfect size for carrying around various small items like tiny animals, jewelry, keychains, and even fun surprises like Easter squishies. Decorating the box with stickers and personal touches makes it inviting and adds a whimsical vibe that draws people in. The idea behind a mobile trinket box is not just about exchanging items, but also about encouraging conversation and connection. At Bloom Room Collective's live music shows, this box serves as a conversation starter, giving attendees a reason to talk and bond over shared interests. It's amazing how an object as simple as a trinket box can break the ice and help strangers become friends. I’ve noticed from social media trends, especially TikTok, how popular trinket exchange boxes are as community activities, and by making it mobile, the experience becomes even more accessible. Bringing the box to different venues provides an ongoing story, where each trinket carries memories and new friendships formed at various shows. If you’re thinking about creating your own traveling trinket box, consider incorporating personal artwork or messages inside to offer a more meaningful touch. Including small handmade crafts or cute stationery can also make the exchange extra special. Plus, the added bonus of live music at the Bloom Room shows creates a laid-back, joyful setting perfect for meeting new people. Overall, this project is a delightful blend of craft, community, and creativity. Whether you’re a musician, artist, or just someone who loves unique experiences, a traveling trinket box is a wonderful way to connect with others and add a little magic to your events.
