Cuteness Overload

Oh my goodness, bringing Milo home was such a whirlwind of emotions! I knew I wanted a puppy, but nothing truly prepares you for the sheer joy – and occasional chaos – they bring. From the moment I saw his tiny paws and big, soulful eyes, I was completely smitten. He’s been with us for a few months now, and every day is an adventure. One of the first things I realized is how much energy a little puppy has! Milo loves to play, whether it’s chasing after his favorite squeaky toy or wrestling with our older dog (who's surprisingly patient with him!). We try to get him out for a short walk a few times a day, which is not just for exercise but also a great way for him to explore new smells and socialize a bit. I’ve found that consistency with walks and playtime really helps burn off that puppy energy, leading to much calmer evenings. Potty training was definitely a "learning curve" for both of us! My biggest tip for anyone with a new puppy is to be incredibly patient and consistent. Taking him out every hour or so, especially after waking up and after meals, and giving lots of praise and treats when he goes outside, made a huge difference. There were accidents, of course, but staying calm and cleaning it up without making a fuss helped him learn faster. It’s all about positive reinforcement! Another thing I've cherished is capturing all his adorable moments. Puppies grow up so fast, don't they? I'm constantly snapping photos and videos. Sometimes, I even use editing apps like CapCut to stitch together little montages of his best antics or add fun filters. It's amazing how much you can do with AI-generated effects these days to make those puppy videos even more captivating to share with friends and family. It helps preserve those precious, fleeting puppy stages. Beyond the training and the play, it's the quiet moments that truly melt my heart. When Milo snuggles up next to me on the couch for a nap, or rests his head on my lap, all the hard work feels completely worth it. His unconditional love and enthusiasm for life are truly infectious. He has this way of looking at you, like you're the most amazing person in the world, and it just makes my day every single time. If you’re thinking about getting a puppy, be prepared for a lot of love, a lot of patience, and definitely a lot of cleaning! But honestly, the companionship and joy they bring are unparalleled. Milo has taught me so much about living in the moment and finding happiness in the simplest things. Having him around has truly been a 'cuteness overload' in the best possible way, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
