🖤🩵 Kiboom Phantom 81 🩵🖤

Hey friends! I am so excited to finally show you the unboxing for one of my favorite keyboards in my collection.

The Kiiboom Phantom 81 is a fantastic keyboard for anyone into mechanical keyboards. Its transparent design makes the RGB on the board really stand out. The build is solid and durable (a little heavy), but it’s not too bulky either.

Typing on the Phantom 81 is a nice experience thanks to its high quality switches and keycaps! The ten-keyless layout is also super functional and makes it a great everyday keyboard. It’s a bit pricier than my other boards at $199 but it’s a great blend of style, durability, and functionality. Great for keyboard enthusiasts and beginners alike! (:

... Read moreWhen I first saw the $199 price tag on the Kiiboom Phantom 81, I definitely paused. It's not a budget keyboard, and I know many of you are probably wondering, 'Is it truly worth that investment?' After spending some quality time with it, I can honestly say it's a strong contender in the mid-range mechanical keyboard market, especially if you appreciate what it offers. One of the first things that justifies the price for me is the build quality. This isn't a flimsy plastic board; its robust construction feels substantial and durable. The transparent ‘crystal’ aesthetic isn't just for show; it feels like a premium material that contributes to its unique look, especially when the RGB lighting shines through. It genuinely feels like a statement piece on my desk, elevating my entire setup. It truly lives up to the idea of being the prettiest crystal keyboard. Then there are the switches and keycaps. While the article mentions high quality, it's worth diving a bit deeper. Good quality switches contribute significantly to typing comfort and responsiveness, which is crucial for both gaming and long work sessions. For $199, you're getting switches that are smooth and satisfying right out of the box, often saving you the hassle and cost of modding them yourself. The keycaps, too, are durable and have a pleasant feel, which adds to the overall premium experience. The ten-keyless layout is another aspect I personally love. It saves desk space without sacrificing too much functionality for my workflow. For someone like me who doesn't constantly use a numpad, it's perfect. This design choice, combined with its solid build, makes it incredibly versatile – whether I'm typing up documents, coding, or diving into my favorite games, it performs flawlessly. So, is it 'worth it' compared to other options? In this price bracket, you start seeing keyboards with hot-swappable switches, advanced software customization, or unique aesthetics. The Phantom 81 shines with its distinctive transparent design and excellent out-of-the-box performance. If a 'crystal keyboard' look with robust build and great typing feel is high on your list, then the $199 starts looking very reasonable. Cheaper boards often compromise on materials or switch quality, while more expensive ones might offer niche features I don't necessarily need. The Phantom 81 strikes a sweet spot. For a keyboard I plan to use daily, I also consider longevity. The durable build suggests it will withstand years of use. Keeping that beautiful transparent body clean is pretty straightforward – a microfiber cloth usually does the trick to keep it looking like the prettiest crystal on my desk. It’s an investment that pays off in both aesthetics and daily usability. Ultimately, the 'phantom keyboard price' is more than just a number; it's about the entire package. For me, the Kiiboom Phantom 81 delivers on its promise of a stylish, functional, and durable mechanical keyboard experience that justifies its cost. It’s a joy to type on and a pleasure to look at, making my desk setup feel complete and truly personalized.
