Soot Sprite Garland 💗

I recently dove into a super fun DIY project, and I just had to share it with you all: creating my very own Soot Sprite garland using Perler beads! As someone who absolutely adores films like Spirited Away and *My Neighbor Totoro*, bringing a piece of that magical world into my home was such a joy. If you're looking for an affordable and incredibly satisfying craft, Perler beads are your best friend. They're tiny, colorful plastic beads that you arrange on a pegboard and then fuse together with an iron. You’ll also need a large square pegboard, ironing paper, an iron, and some string or twine for the garland. Creating the soot sprites is quite straightforward. Once your designs are on the pegboard, carefully place the ironing paper over them and gently iron in a circular motion until the beads are fused together. Make sure not to over-iron, or they'll flatten too much! Let them cool completely before carefully peeling them off. Once all my soot sprites and star shapes were ready, the fun part of assembling the garland began. I used a needle and some sturdy yellow and white string to thread them, alternating between the black soot sprites with white eyes and the colorful star shapes. You can space them out however you like, making it as dense or as sparse as you wish. I even included a few extra stars on their own just for some added sparkle.
