Need advice

Common suggestions include keeping the baby hydrated, using a humidifier to moisten the air, and elevating the baby's head while sleeping to ease congestion. For older babies, honey can be a sweet remedy for cough, but it is advisable to avoid it in children under one year due to the risk of botulism. A warm bath can also help relieve symptoms by loosening mucus and relaxing the baby. In addition to these home remedies, over-the-counter options should be approached cautiously. Medications specifically designed for infants are limited, and many common cough syrups may not be suitable for a 4-month-old. Always check with your pediatrician for guidance tailored to your baby's health needs. Engaging with various parenting forums can also provide support and shared experiences, creating a community of advice for concerned parents.

Honestly if his cough sounds like a seal bark then it's a croup cough and he should be seen by Dr. putting a vaporizer in the room or taking him in room with hot shower on to steam him or cold helps knock it out too...still check with Dr. tho sick babies aren't fun...sorry to hear it
