Falling in love with Jesus 🩷

Hello! I’m Nessa!

I’m starting this account as my blog/journal, sharing my walk with the Lord and things I’ve learned throughout my time of getting to love Jesus. Hopefully my page can be of inspiration to the readers and help people get closer to God.

The first thing I wanted to talk about is falling in love with Jesus. So what is love? The Bible teaches in 1 Corinthians chapter 13, the meaning of love. Love is a choice, not a feeling. I encourage you to read the chapter if you don’t know it already.

The more I read God’s word and dwell in his presence, the more my love grows for him. So how do we start falling in love with Jesus? Where do we start? The answer is understanding that the savior is a breath away. The answer is inviting Jesus into your heart. Have a one on one conversation with him through prayer. Read his word daily. And if you’re new to your faith, something that helped me a lot, was to give myself grace. You’ll fail some days, but don’t worry, Jesus won’t love you less for falling short. He just wants to be there for you when you do.

When you start falling in love with someone it starts out as curiosity. Once you start to spend time with that special person, your love for them grows. It’s the same with your faith. Jesus will always be next to you, and the best way to spend some time with him is through prayer, worship and scripture.

Building a healthy relationship with Jesus isn’t hard, anyone can do it. Everyone is worthy. Everyone is already loved by God. The more you spend time with Jesus, the more he changes you. It’s like when you hang out with your favorite friend. The more you’re together, you adapt to each other’s personality. The same thing happens with Jesus. The more you get to know him, you start to act like him. And that’s what helped me fall in love with Jesus. The more you understand him, the more you love him.

I can’t wait to share more of my walk with the Lord in future posts. Loving Jesus is a choice, it’s something I choose to do every day because of him. His sacrifice. His love for all of us.

May the Lord bless you and keep you safe 🩷

... Read moreFalling in love with Jesus is a journey that many believers describe as life-changing and transformative. It starts with an open heart willing to invite Jesus into your life and learn more about His love through scripture and prayer. The Bible, especially passages like 1 Corinthians 13, helps us understand that love is more than just an emotion; it’s a choice that requires daily commitment and grace. A key part of this relationship is communication. Prayer allows you to speak honestly with Jesus, sharing your joys, struggles, and questions. This one-on-one connection helps deepen your faith and trust in Him. Worship and reading the Bible are also vital; they immerse you in God’s presence and nurture spiritual growth. It’s important to remember that falling in love with Jesus doesn’t mean being perfect. Everyone falls short at times, but Jesus’s love remains constant. Showing yourself grace during difficult days is essential to maintaining a healthy spiritual life. Many find that as they spend more time with Jesus, their character begins to change. Like hanging out with a close friend, you start to adopt the qualities of Jesus—kindness, patience, and humility—which reflect in your daily behavior. This transformation is a natural outcome of growing in faith. For anyone starting this journey, know that you are already loved by God and worthy of His love. Cultivating a relationship with Jesus is accessible to everyone, regardless of where you are in life. By embracing prayer, engaging with scripture daily, and allowing yourself grace, you can experience the profound joy of falling deeper in love with Jesus and witnessing His presence change your life.
