Kindle Walks (self-help)
One thing I’ve incorporated this year is reading more
self-help books for motivation and self growth.
It feels great to start my day with a 30-60 minute treadmill walk while reading! I know reading self-help books can be boring but even starting out with reading 10 minutes or a couple chapters a day is better than nothing!
The Art of Laziness is only 112 pages so I was able to finish this book in one treadmill session. I think this book is great if you’re new to self-help books and need some quick motivation!
Book Quote|
“Kaizen It means focusing on small improvements every day and not waiting for big improvements but trying to become 1% better every day. Instead of setting a big goal, we should divide it into multiple small goals and tackle each of them one by one.”

Incorporating reading into your daily routine, especially self-help books, can significantly boost motivation and enhance personal development. Many individuals find that integrating physical activity, like walking on a treadmill, while engaging with inspiring literature can transform their mindset. Short books such as 'The Art of Laziness' are perfect for those who might struggle with larger texts or lengthy reading commitments. Completing a small book in a single session not only gives a sense of accomplishment but also infuses your day with positivity and actionable insights. This strategic pairing can help overcome the common perception that self-help reading is tedious or overwhelming. The principle of 'Kaizen' highlights the benefits of focusing on gradual improvement. Instead of daunting life changes, focus on making 1% progress each day. This could mean setting aside just 10 minutes for reading. Celebrate small victories, like finishing a chapter or applying new concepts to your daily life. By segmenting large goals into manageable tasks, you can create a sustainable and enjoyable self-help experience. Additionally, participating in online communities or book clubs can provide further motivation. Engaging with others who share similar interests in self growth can create a supportive environment that encourages accountability. Follow hashtags like #selfhelpbooks, #selfgrowth, and #motivation to connect with like-minded individuals online for shared insights and inspiration. Overall, finding ways to integrate self-help reading into your daily activities can pave the way for a fulfilling journey towards self-improvement, resilience, and a better understanding of personal goals.
