Baking day: Pumpkin cake balls!
Happy fall baking day!! My friends and I decided since it’s the first day of fall we should have a baking day. We decided to make pumpkin cake balls. They were so delicious!
First We followed the recipe on the back of the cake mix box.
recipe on cake mix box:
ALL YOU NEED:
1/2 CUP OIL
3 EGGS
1 CUP WATER
BAKING INSTRUCTIONS
1. SET oven to 350°F. Coat bottom of pan with non-stick cooking spray or shortening and a flour dusting.
2. BEAT cake mix, water, oil and eggs in bowl with mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into pan(s).
* we added pumpkin spice chips into the batter*
3. BAKE at 350°F. Follow the bake times below. When toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, cake is done. Cool 10 to 15 minutes before removing from pan. Cool cake completely before frosting. Store loosely covered.
After we baked the cake in the oven we waited for it to cool. After it cooled we broke the cake into many pieces. We warmed the frosting in the microwave and then poured a lil bit into the smooshed up cake. Then we mixed it all together and rolled the cake into little balls. Then we placed all the balls on a pan and drizzled the remaining frosting over them. Put them in the fridge for a few hours and then enjoy!!

As autumn ushers in cooler weather, flavors like pumpkin spice become a beloved choice for many home bakers. Pumpkin cake balls are an ideal way to celebrate the season. This recipe starts with a simple cake mix, combined with essential ingredients like oil, eggs, and water, making it accessible for bakers of all skill levels. The addition of pumpkin spice chips elevates the classic flavor, providing that warm, comforting spice profile quintessential to fall treats. When preparing the cake, it’s crucial to ensure the oven is preheated to 350°F, as this temperature is perfect for producing a moist cake that holds together well when crumbled into balls. After baking, allow the cake to cool thoroughly before mixing in frosting, which adds extra sweetness and binds the cake crumbs. Rolling the mixture into bite-sized balls makes them perfect for sharing at gatherings, parties, or simply enjoying at home. These pumpkin cake balls can also be customized with various toppings—consider using chocolate sprinkles, crushed nuts, or even a light dusting of cinnamon for a decorative touch. Storing the cake balls in the refrigerator helps them firm up, enhancing their texture. Overall, this delightful recipe not only captures the essence of fall but also brings friends together for a fun baking day experience. Happy baking!
