Just a girl doing a job that’s a “boy job”

I want to be more girly in what I wear to work and how I look at work but I already do my eyelashes ( I glue them on myself with diy lashes and glue) I can’t get my nails done due to my job and how hard I am on my hands. But I want to take care of my feminine side as well. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

... Read moreIt's a common struggle for us 'girls in tough jobs,' isn't it? We love our work, whether it's on a construction site, driving heavy machinery, or any role that gets our hands dirty and requires a hard hat and safety vest. But deep down, we still want to feel feminine and put-together. I totally get it – finding that balance between a demanding job and personal style can be tricky, especially when your hands are constantly working and safety gear is a must. My morning routine is all about efficiency without sacrificing that touch of 'girly.' I swear by a good waterproof mascara and a tinted lip balm that adds just enough color without being high-maintenance. For lashes, those DIY glue-ons are a lifesaver – a quick way to feel polished without the daily hassle. I also keep a compact mirror and a small pouch with essentials in my work bag for quick touch-ups throughout the day. Hair can be a real challenge with a hard hat. Braids, like a French braid or two Dutch braids, are my absolute go-to. They keep hair neatly out of the way, look polished, and are surprisingly comfortable. A cute, thin headband worn underneath can also add a pop of personal style, as long as it doesn't interfere with your safety gear. And dry shampoo? A lifesaver for those early mornings or long shifts when a full wash isn't an option. Since professional manicures are definitely out for me – my hands take a beating, just like yours! – I focus intently on intense hydration. I always carry a heavy-duty hand cream and cuticle oil in my lunchbox. Applying it several times a day makes a huge difference in keeping my hands from looking too rough. Even a quick buff and a clear strengthening polish on weekends helps keep them looking respectable and cared for. Who says safety gear can't have personality? I love wearing a soft, comfortable t-shirt under my safety vest, sometimes in a fun color like pink. It's a small detail, but it makes me feel more 'me' and allows a bit of self-expression. Finding work pants that are durable but also fit well and flatter your figure can boost confidence too. It’s about choosing comfortable fabrics and cuts that work with your body, not against it. After a long day, my evening routine is all about unwinding and pampering. A hot shower or bath with some nice bath salts helps relax tired muscles. I make sure to moisturize my entire body, giving extra love to my hands and feet. Sometimes I'll throw on a face mask or do a quick hair treatment. It's these little rituals that remind me to nurture my feminine side and recharge. And when I'm not in my work gear, I embrace my softer side completely. Whether it's ice skating with friends or just cuddling my dog, I make sure to have activities that let my personal style shine through. It’s about not letting the job define your entire identity, but rather enhancing it. It's all about finding what works for you and building a routine that helps you feel strong and beautiful, inside and out, no matter how tough your job is. What are your go-to 'girly' hacks for a demanding job? I'd love to hear them and perhaps add them to my routine!

Even tho you wear a hat try doing a braid with a bow at the end or bubble braids so it could show. I also wear blush and do my lip liner to brighten my face/feel girlier
