Affordable Planner + Journal Options
I purchased the Clever Fox Planner on Amazon. It runs about $15.99. It’s customizable so you write in the month, year, and weekly dates.
The classic Strawberry shortcake journal is from 5 Below.
Super cheap options for a planner and a journal. I love the pocket edition Clever Fox planner because I can shove it in almost any bag lol. It’s very convenient to carry around. I love to use Sharpie pens and pastel highlighter to color code.

I love buying notebooks and pens. 😂😂
Though, I have slowed down on my purchases lately. I want to be much more intentional in how I spend and also want to make sure I enjoy things I already have.

You know that feeling when you find an absolute gem for a steal? That's exactly how I felt when I stumbled upon this adorable Strawberry Shortcake journal at Five Below. Seriously, if you're looking for budget-friendly notebooks that don't compromise on cuteness, Five Below is a treasure trove! I've been a stationery addict for ages, and while I love a fancy planner, there's a special place in my heart for those super affordable finds. The pink spiral-bound Strawberry Shortcake journal I picked up is just delightful. It features the classic character watering plants, and the dotted pages inside are perfect for everything from doodling to bullet journaling. It's lightweight, easy to carry, and best of all, it was incredibly cheap. I don't have to worry about it getting worn out or filled quickly because replacing it won't break the bank! What I love about Five Below for notebooks is the sheer variety. You can often find licensed character journals like mine, but also plain, functional notebooks in various sizes and colors. They're fantastic for stocking up on supplies for different purposes. Maybe you need a dedicated notebook for brainstorming creative ideas, another for your daily gratitude practice, or even a scratchpad for those quick, messy notes during busy periods. For example, when I'm tackling my CNA classes, I often need a place to jot down quick facts, diagrams, or questions that might not fit neatly into my structured planner. A cheap notebook from Five Below is ideal for this – no stress if it gets coffee spilled on it or if I need to rip out a page! These affordable journals aren't just for kids. They're perfect for adults who want to explore different journaling styles without a huge investment. I use mine for free-form writing, dream logging, or just capturing random thoughts throughout the day that don't belong in my more structured planner. The quality for the price is surprisingly good; the paper holds up well to most pens, and the fun designs always bring a smile to my face. Beyond journals, Five Below often has a great selection of pens, highlighters, and other small stationery items. It’s worth taking the time to browse their aisles because you never know what fantastic deal you'll discover. For someone like me, who's trying to be more intentional with spending and appreciate what I already have, these affordable finds allow me to indulge my love for stationery without feeling guilty. They complement my more expensive, functional planners, like the Clever Fox, by providing a creative outlet or a dedicated space for specific, less formal tasks. It's about finding that balance between structured planning and spontaneous creativity. And honestly, having a cute, inexpensive journal makes the planning process feel less like a chore and more like a fun, personalized activity, whether I'm planning for next week or just dreaming about goals for 2025. So next time you're near a Five Below, do yourself a favor and check out their notebook section – you might just find your next favorite journal!
