Add this pumpkin patch to your fall bucket list🍁🎃
Alright everyone, since we’re still in the month of October, we’ve got to enjoy it to the max with our furbabies! 🎃🐾
If you haven’t taken your pup to a pumpkin patch yet, I highly recommend checking out Arata’s Pumpkin Farm in Half Moon Bay, CA.
Because it’s near the coast, the weather is just right — not too hot, but it can get a little warm. ☀️
Parking isn’t free, but it comes with a $10 voucher you can use toward pumpkins or at the market stand.
They also sell attraction tickets (either combo or single). I got the combo for the hay maze and haunted house for $20 — totally worth it!
The hay maze was such a fun challenge (we got lost for about 20 minutes 😅), and the haunted house gave us a couple of good jump scares! 👻
If your dog gets scared easily, you might want them to wait outside, but you can bring them in if you’re up for it — just be ready to carry them out if it gets too spooky 😂
There were tons of photo spots, and overall, it was such a fun experience for me and my furbaby. 🍁🐶

If you're planning a cozy autumn trip with your furry friend, Arata’s Pumpkin Farm in Half Moon Bay offers a uniquely dog-friendly experience that captures the essence of fall. Located near the coast, the farm benefits from mild weather, making it an ideal spot for outdoor activities without the sweltering heat typical of inland pumpkin patches. When you arrive, you’ll appreciate the convenient parking setup, where a $10 parking fee doubles as a voucher redeemable for pumpkins or treats from the on-site market stand — a smart way to enjoy both convenience and value. This farm isn't just about picking pumpkins; it also features engaging attractions such as a hay maze and a haunted house. Many visitors find the hay maze a delightful challenge — it’s easy to lose your way among the bales, which adds an element of playful adventure. The haunted house offers spooky excitement perfect for thrill seekers but can be a bit much for anxious pups — if your dog gets easily scared, it’s best to wait outside or be prepared to carry them through if they become frightened. This setup ensures that pet owners can still share in the fun without stressing their companions. Photographers and social media enthusiasts will love the abundance of photo opportunities scattered throughout the farm, ranging from rustic fall backdrops to creative pumpkin-themed displays.
