New auto fire setting and simple edit!
Hey fellow Loopers! I recently stumbled upon the new auto fire setting in Fortnite, and seriously, it's been a total game-changer for my builds and battles. I used to struggle with quick reactions in close-quarter combat, but this setting has made things so much smoother. I wanted to share my experience and give you a quick rundown on how to get it set up and what other tweaks I made to maximize its potential. Finding and enabling Auto Fire is pretty straightforward. You just need to hop into your game settings. Look under the 'COMBAT' section – that's where I found it. Once there, you'll see the 'Auto Fire' option. Just toggle it on! It's designed to help players, especially those on mobile or controller, engage targets more consistently without needing to constantly tap or hold the fire button. For me, it's taken a lot of pressure off my fingers during intense skirmishes, especially when I'm in a build fight and need to focus on my structures. While auto fire is great on its own, I found that pairing it with a few other settings mentioned in the game options (and even some I saw in my gameplay's OCR!) made a massive difference. Tap To Simple Edit: This one is a lifesaver. Instead of holding to edit, just tapping lets me modify structures instantly. Combining this with auto fire means I can quickly put up a wall, edit a window, and immediately start firing without fumbling. It’s all about muscle memory, and 'Tap To Simple Edit' streamlines that. Turbo Building & Auto Confirm Edits: If you're building, 'Turbo Building' is a must. Holding down the build button lets you place structures rapidly. And 'Auto Confirm Edits' means as soon as you release the edit button, your edit is done. No more accidentally canceling! This synergy with auto fire is incredible for build battles; I can out-build and out-shoot opponents much faster. It's like my edits are almost as fast as the OCR recognized 'too fast' warning I sometimes get! Mantle Activation & Hurdle Activation: These aren't directly combat-related, but they improve movement fluidity. Being able to mantle over obstacles or hurdle quickly keeps you mobile, which is crucial for getting better angles on enemies, especially when auto fire is doing its job of landing shots. I also ensure 'Auto Open Doors' is on, so I don't waste precious seconds in a fight. And for loot, 'Auto Pick Up Weapons' is a must-have to keep my inventory full without thinking about it. It took me a few matches to get used to auto fire. Don't expect to be a pro instantly! I recommend dropping into a creative map or Team Rumble to practice. Pay attention to how it feels with different weapons. For instance, with an SMG, it feels incredibly natural, but with a sniper, you might still want manual control for precision shots to hit those critical 'X700 Assault Rifle damage in a match' targets! Also, remember to check 'Preferred Item Slots' to make sure your most used weapons are easily accessible. Overall, the new auto fire setting, combined with smart use of other accessibility and building settings like 'Tap To Simple Edit' and 'Turbo Building', has really elevated my Fortnite experience. It makes the game more accessible and enjoyable, especially if you're looking to reduce input fatigue or focus more on strategy. Give it a try, tweak your settings, and let me know how it works for you!
