Hey besties! Following up on my super fun first TikTok Shop Live Collab with May, I wanted to dive deeper into how you can set up your own collaborations, especially for live sessions! Here’s a quick guide based on what I did: Start Your Live: First, you need to go live yourself. Open TikTok, tap the '+' button, and swipe to 'LIVE'. TikTok often suggests friends you interact with, or you can search for specific users. For my collab with May, I just searched for her username. Send the Invite: Once you find your collaborator, tap 'Invite'. They'll receive a notification to join your live stream. Make sure they are ready and expecting the invite! Confirm & Go Live Together: Once they accept, their video feed will join yours, and you'll be co-hosting! It’s really cool to see both feeds side-by-side. Tips for a Smooth TikTok Shop Live Collab: Communicate Beforehand: May and I chatted a lot before we went live. We discussed what we'd talk about, when I'd send the invite, and what gold-plated initial letter necklaces we'd show. This is crucial for a seamless experience. Test Your Connection: Before going live, make sure both you and your collaborator have strong internet connections. There’s nothing worse than a laggy live! Promote Your Collab: Don't forget to tell your followers about your upcoming tiktok live collab! I posted a story and a short video beforehand, even showing a sneak peek of the initial letter pendants we’d be featuring. Engage with Comments: During our live, we tried our best to engage with everyone's comments. It makes the audience feel more involved and boosts interaction.
