On the stat screen, you'll often see damage numbers like '45-0' or '45-15%' against the tanks, meaning they're soaking up damage that would normally wipe out squishier heroes. This allows your team to control choke points and, more importantly, 'CAPTURE HELL'S HEAVEN' or any other objective with unmatched resilience. We often just walk onto points and dare the enemy to try and stop us. My personal experience has shown that this comp thrives on maps with clear objectives. The tanks can initiate fights, protect Rocket Raccoon, and hold ground, while Rocket focuses purely on damage. Heroes like Hulk, Thing, Groot, or even an Iron Man in his tank-focused build, are fantastic choices. Each tank brings their unique crowd control or protective abilities, making the frontline even more oppressive. For Rocket, positioning is key; stay safe behind your behemoth teammates and unleash hell. One time, we were struggling against a very aggressive damage-dealer comp. We switched to GATOR, and suddenly, they couldn't break through our wall of health and shields. Rocket Raccoon just kept firing, and the enemy team eventually just melted away. We went from being on the brink of defeat to a decisive 'VICTORY', and I even snagged an 'MVP' for staying alive and dealing consistent damage. It was a testament to how 'broken' this composition can be. It's not just about raw damage; it's about overwhelming presence and objective control that other comps just can't match.
