Let Your OBEDIENCE Move You
"What if I heard Him wrong?"
I’ve sat at my desk for hours paralyzed by that one question.
What if this brand, this direction, this "word" wasn't actually from God?
But here’s what I’m learning: God is more moved by a heart that tries to obey
Him than a mind that waits until it's "100% sure."
If my heart is truly set on serving Him, and I take a step in faith that ends up being
a "wrong turn," He is big enough to redirect me. He won't let my obedience hurt me.
He won't count a sincere "Yes" as a sin, even if the timing was off.
Stop waiting for a "perfect" signal. Start moving with a "perfect" heart.
God Will Provide
In my personal journey of faith, I've often found myself hesitating, wondering if I misunderstood a divine message or if my actions were premature. These moments can be paralyzing, as reflected in the question, "What if I heard Him wrong?" However, I've come to realize that God appreciates a sincere heart eager to obey rather than one caught in endless uncertainty. Taking that first step of obedience, even when it feels like a "wrong turn," has taught me that God is always ready to redirect and support us. It’s reassuring to know that a genuine "Yes" given from the heart is never counted as a mistake, even if the timing isn’t perfect. This insight encourages me to act with a perfect heart instead of waiting for infallible signs. Interestingly, the theme of obedience and faith mirrors experiences beyond spiritual realms. For example, in community spaces like the small coffee shop upstairs or local service departments around the corner, people often take initiatives without perfect clarity but with trust that things will fall into place. This analogy helps me connect everyday trust and obedience with spiritual faith. Ultimately, obedience is a journey of trust and growth. By moving forward in faith, embracing imperfections, and learning from each step, we invite God’s provision and guidance into our lives. This mindset has transformed how I approach decisions, reminding me that God’s love and wisdom are greater than my doubts or fears.
