What’s Giving You Energy — and What’s Draining It?
Not everything that feels “normal” is neutral.
Some things quietly fuel you.
Others slowly drain you, even if you’re used to them.
If your energy feels low lately, don’t start by doing more.
Start by noticing what you’re allowing.
Save this and circle one thing to add and one thing to remove this week.

From personal experience, managing your energy is less about doing more and more about being mindful of what impacts you daily. I used to push through fatigue by working longer hours, but that only led to burnout. Instead, I started observing which activities and thoughts made me feel energized and which made me feel exhausted. For example, I found that learning new things and practicing gratitude truly boosted my energy levels. Taking time to engage with nature or listen to uplifting music also provided me with a refreshing mental break. On the other hand, I realized that excessive social media use and dwelling on negative thoughts consistently drained my mood and vitality. One practice that helped me was simplifying my daily routine — focusing on fewer tasks with greater mindfulness rather than multitasking endlessly. Meditation and movement like gentle stretching or walking helped me reconnect with my body's natural rhythms. It's also essential to pay attention to your sleep quality and avoid overworking yourself. Healthy habits such as eating nutritious food and limiting alcohol or fast food can positively influence your energy. By consciously choosing to add more positivity like socializing with supportive friends or practicing positive thinking, and removing stressors such as clutter or procrastination, you can maintain a healthier energy balance. I recommend starting small: pick one draining habit to reduce this week and one energizing habit to introduce, then observe the difference in how you feel. Remember, energy management is a continuous journey of self-awareness and mindset shifts, not a quick fix. Prioritize rest and consciously create an environment and mindset that nurtures your wellbeing.
