Echeveria
This plant was a gift from a grower. I can't front and say I know a lot about this species and it's really outside of my usual options for a plant BUT it's cool though.
She is starting to stretch a bit and dropping leaves too. She due for a big new clay pot as she's outgrowing her nursery pot.
Any suggestions as to how I can minimize her stretching efforts?
Echeveria, known for its stunning rosette shape and vibrant colors, is a popular succulent that thrives in well-drained soil and plenty of sunlight. To prevent stretching, ensure your Echeveria receives adequate light, ideally six hours of indirect sunlight daily. If the leaves begin to drop, it may be a sign of overwatering or insufficient light, so always assess your care routine. Additionally, the right potting can significantly impact your plant's health. Use a clay pot with drainage holes to promote airflow and prevent water retention, which can lead to root rot. Regularly check for pests or diseases, which can also contribute to leaf loss. Repotting your Echeveria into a larger pot allows for growth as it outgrows its nursery pot; do this in the spring or early summer for optimal results.
