human biology isn’t that hard

human biology isn’t that hard …. IF you have the right tools.

I probably utilized YouTube the most out of any resource, I would cycle through a few different channels depending on what I was learning or needed to understand. I’m a visual learner so being able to SEE the human body and SEE what was happening inside different organs was really vital to me. For more understanding of this I would turn to things like Visible Body. Which is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a 3D anatomy app that lets you see everything inside the body down to just the bones. I also used Bio Digital Hunan if I needed to isolate certain organs see multiple body layers at one time.

I also used my notes to break down system by structure, function, disorders, enzymes, etc. to keep myself organized. I used goodnotes for this but notion and onenote are great resources for this.

human bio was one of the most challenging classes I’ve taken but it was also the most interesting class I’ve ever taken and I utilized a lot of these tools to learn and more importantly UNDERSTAND the material being taught to me. and once you understand the basics, the rest follows.

... Read moreHuman biology can be a complex subject, but with the right approach and tools, it becomes much more manageable. Visual learners often benefit from interactive resources such as 3D anatomy apps, which allow them to visualize and manipulate body systems. Applications like Visible Body and Bio Digital Human are excellent for helping students grasp intricate details about organs and their functions. Alongside these visual aids, leveraging platforms like YouTube can provide diverse teaching styles and explanations, enhancing understanding even further. For effective study practices, using digital note-taking tools like Notion or OneNote can help students organize and synthesize their learning. It's essential to break down information into digestible sections—focusing on structure, function, and related disorders. Incorporating flashcard applications such as Quizlet or Anki can reinforce memory through spaced repetition, ensuring that critical concepts are well-retained. Furthermore, creating visual diagrams or concept maps can link various body systems, enriching the learning experience by highlighting relationships and interdependencies. By combining these strategies with consistent practice, anyone can master human biology, transforming it from a daunting subject into an interesting and fulfilling journey.

Human bio was my worst nightmare freshman year. I totally relied on YouTube and those 3D anatomy apps – legit lifesavers! I also made crazy colorful notes. You’re killing it! 🫶
