come with me to learn CPR

if you are in any health science related program chances are you will have to take a CPR certification class. so come with me to take mine! this is one of many requirements needed for my radiologic technology program so let's get to it.

mine was conveniently offered at my college so it was just a quick trip to campus for me. once I got there, I had to find the class room and we got started right on time.

thankfully, we had a great teacher who gave really detailed instructions and allowed time for hands-on practice with the CPR models. something entirely new for me was the infant model, I have never seen something like that before but after learning the proper way to handle that situation I feel really good about it!

I also took quite a bit of notes due there being an exam at the end of the class, this allows you to get certified same day! the exam wasn't long at all and was just solidifying what we had learned in the class. all in all the day went really well. my only advice is to make sure you bring a notebook for notes, a water bottle, come kind of caffeine, and some snacks for the few hours you'll be there.

are you CPR certified??

... Read moreCPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training is a vital skill for anyone in the healthcare field, as well as for everyday individuals looking to be prepared for emergencies. The hands-on practice with adult and infant CPR models, as mentioned in the article, significantly enhances learning by allowing students to simulate real-life resuscitation scenarios. The inclusion of infant CPR instruction is especially important because infants require different techniques due to their size and fragility. Taking thorough notes during CPR classes not only helps with passing the certification exam but also reinforces key procedures such as chest compressions and rescue breaths, critical for effective CPR administration. Some certifications allow candidates to become certified the same day they complete their training, highlighting the efficiency and practical focus of these courses. Preparation for a CPR class should include bringing essentials like a notebook, snacks, water, and caffeine to stay alert during lengthy sessions. Additionally, practicing CPR techniques regularly can help maintain skills over time. CPR certification is often mandatory for students enrolled in health science and radiologic technology programs, as well as for professionals in healthcare, childcare, and emergency response fields. By completing such a course, individuals become equipped to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations, potentially saving lives. Overall, CPR training courses provide crucial education that combines detailed instruction with hands-on practice to build both knowledge and confidence. Whether you are pursuing a medical career or seeking to be a prepared and helpful community member, CPR certification is an invaluable asset.
