They both involve nothing more than a soft hair tie, *not a clip*! Method 1: The Classic Pineapple Bun for Bouncy Curls & Defined Waves This is my absolute go-to for preserving curls and getting fantastic volume at the roots. It’s surprisingly simple and works wonders. Here's how I do it: Prep Your Hair: Make sure your hair is completely dry. Sleeping on damp hair can lead to frizz and breakage. You want your hair to look like it's gently resting. Morning Reveal: When you wake up, gently let your hair down. You'll find it's largely tangle-free with a lovely, soft bend and some natural-looking volume, perfect for a subtle, effortless style. General Tips for Wearing Your Hair to Bed: Silk Pillowcases are a Game Changer: Seriously, investing in a silk or satin pillowcase reduces friction, which means less frizz, fewer tangles, and less breakage compared to cotton. It's a lifesaver for maintaining that light wave/curly look. Avoid Wet Hair: Never, ever sleep with wet hair. It's most vulnerable to breakage when wet, and it can also lead to scalp issues. Condition Before Bed: Sometimes I'll apply a tiny amount of hair oil or a leave-in conditioner to my ends before bed, especially if my hair feels dry. Just be mindful not to overdo it.
