It’s not just an aquarium; it's a full-on underwater adventure that truly offers something for everyone, making it a perfect spot for families or even a fun solo trip. My absolute favorite part, and probably what everyone talks about, is the Shark Tunnel. Walking through it felt like being completely immersed in the ocean! Above and around you, sharks glide effortlessly, and you get to see several species up close. I even saw some impressive shark and hammerhead shark models hanging from the ceiling, which really set the tone even before entering the main aquatic areas. The Shark Realm exhibit, specifically, gives you an incredible perspective on these majestic creatures. It's truly an immersive experience that you won't forget. Beyond the sharks, there’s so much more to discover. The Penguin Exhibit was delightful! Watching the penguins waddle around, swim, and interact in their outdoor habitat brought a huge smile to my face. They are so playful and charming. Another highlight was the Stingray exhibit. These graceful creatures seem to fly through the water. There’s even a Touch Tank where you can gently interact with some marine life, which is always a hit, especially for kids (and big kids like me!). I saw a child interacting with a digital sand table, creating landscapes with projected water and fish – such a clever and engaging activity for younger visitors. Throughout the aquarium, you’ll find well-designed exhibits. I noticed some informational displays like 'Tools of the Trade,' which provide interesting facts and make the learning experience even better. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into how visitors move through and interact with the different sections. Plus, the overall atmosphere is fantastic, with vibrant lighting and well-maintained tanks. For those looking for practicalities, the aquarium is conveniently located right on the Camden waterfront, offering some nice views outside too. While I didn't personally check out the 'Beer Garden' mentioned on one of the signs, it's clear they offer amenities for all ages, including where you can even get a caricature drawn! The pricing is fair for the incredible quality and variety of exhibits you get to experience. To make the most of your visit, I'd recommend checking their official website for current hours and any special events. It’s truly a five-star experience that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a fun and educational day out in New Jersey!
