Can’t save my brother
My brother hasn’t worked in 3 years. He and his girlfriend live on my parents’ farm, do nothing to help, and live off welfare. My dad’s had enough—he’s already looked into the legal side of kicking them out by the end of the year.
The problem? My brother assumes he’ll just move into my place if that happens. I have a granny flat, but my younger brother (who’s in college) is already renting it cheap. Plus, my husband can’t stand my older brother—He loves my younger brother, but He made it clear he won’t tolerate Matt freeloading here too. Honestly, I agree.
I feel torn because I don’t want to see him homeless, but I can’t sacrifice my marriage and peace at home either. How do you make someone realize they need to get their act together when they think everyone else will just save them?
