There's better things to do!!! 😡

Due to a certain cellphone company data breach mine and my mom's information being out there has gotten our family involved due to scam calls and texts about some life insurance stuff. It super sucks because everyday something else comes up and I'm just tryna live my life without my family for SOME REASON automatically assuming i did something without their permission like giving out their number, adding them to some kind of benefits they didn't ask to be bugged about. I didn't i swear I didn't. It's so overwhelming. They're already horrible to me, i don't want more drama. #drama #overwhelmed #databreach #storytime #lemon8contest

Such incidents can lead to a flood of scam calls and texts, creating not just a financial strain but also emotional turmoil. When personal information is compromised, it often puts a strain on relationships as family members unfairly suspect one another of negligence. Anxiety and frustration can heighten as those impacted navigate their daily lives, trying to distance themselves from the chaos caused by unsolicited communications. It's crucial to take immediate steps following a data breach, such as monitoring credit reports and alerting financial institutions. Additionally, it helps to communicate openly with family members when misconceptions arise to avoid further misunderstandings. Being proactive about privacy settings and understanding how to protect personal information online can significantly reduce the likelihood of future issues. In moments of chaos, it’s essential to establish a support system, reminding each other that we're in this together, facing the fallout of modern technology. Remember, being informed is empowering; stay vigilant and safeguard your personal data.

Your phone number could be typed into a website ONE TIME and you will get numerous calls. Like filling out paperwork for doctors online even puts your phone number out there. Or ordering and entering your phone number. Having DoorDash, Amazon, etc. there is no possible way it’s your fault
