But when actually working is "very juicy!" 😅

When studying, we were already heavy.

But only when actually working...

"Nursing life" is not just about patient care. 🩺

But there are still many things we have never learned from the classroom!

1. 🗂️ Document & Service Plan

When studying, we can only watch charts. Study cases.

But when working, paperwork is another world!

From Indicator, CQI, Service plan, Infection control

To county and ministry reports.

Is not only beautiful writing, but also to "understand the meaning of information"!

2. 💻 Commuter system and hospital programs

Absolutely not in the texts!

Must come to know HOSxP, JHCIS, LIS, Google Sheet, Dashboard.

Someone has to make a report. Summary.

It's called "Data Nurse," going unwittingly. 📊

3. 🗣️ Communication with several parties

From just talking to the patient and the teacher

Now communicate with doctors, pharmacists, staff, relatives and chiefs.

And have to say good... even after being scolded. 💬

This is life art that is not really taught in the classroom at all.

4. 📅 Carpool administration and people

When you're on duty, you'll know it's harder to run people than to take care of patients. 😅

Have to arrange duty, arrange people, distribute reports, maybe solve problems almost every day.

Anyone who's been through this is gonna give me a thumbs up. 👏

5. 💰 Resource management

All the stuff, all the stuff, all the stuff, must be signed, must be followed.

Must know the system of clothing, materials, leaves, POs, etc.

In other words, the nurse is the "little manager of the agency."

6. ❤️‍🩹 Emotional and relationship management

Of course not, but the most important.

Have to deal with the pressure, fatigue and difference of the team.

Must speak correctly, know quiet time, know encouragement time

Because nurses don't just care for patients... but also for those around them. 🫶

7. 📈 Project Writing / CQI / KPI

Never studied in training, but at work everyone has to do it!

From analyzing problems, writing PDSA to doing development projects.

It's like becoming a researcher. 🎯

Looking back, I was tired but very proud.

From the day it was just a little nursing student.

Today we are full nurses who do not just care for patients.

But also take care of our "work system and team." 🤍
