Blood drawing isn't just "stabbing a needle to get blood."
It is the key process that affects the accuracy of lab results and patient safety.
🔬 1.Blood = health mirror
Blood helps tell the function of many systems of the body.

💉 2. How to draw blood. Choose the right way.

⚠️ 4. Common miss points (Pre-analytical Error)
Over half of the crashes happened before the lab.
• ❌ Hemolysis → K, Forged High AST
• ❌ Pseudohyperkalemia → Platelet hyperkalemia. Use serum to make K inflated height
• ❌ Slowly send ABG → distorted pO ☃ / pCO ☃
• ❌ misnamed → risk of blood, death to death

CBC
• Low MCV → Think of iron deficiency
• Neutrophil ● → Bacteria
• Lymphocyte ● → Virus
• Low Platelet → Bleeding Risk

Metabolic value
• HbA1c → Not accurate in pale / blood loss people
• D-dimer → used for screening, not diagnosis
• BUN / Cr → See Whole Kidney + Mutual Dehydration
🤍 6.Nurse role = Precision key
• Prepare the patient correctly (abstain from food, explain the procedure)
• Patient identification every time
• If the lab results "do not correlate with symptoms" → Hurry up to coordinate the lab immediately.
