real talk: life

does anyone else struggle with what they want to spend their time doing?

i have things i enjoy, like painting and playing video games and spending time in nature.. but i don’t have a “dream job” i don’t dream of working till i die. but i obviously have bills to pay and need currency to survive but when i think about pursuing what would bring me joy; like selling my art or learning how to do game design.. i find reasons/excuses to hold myself back and let’s be real it would probably take months or even years to actually make a living off of something that genuinely brings me joy.. #lemon8contest #Lemon8Diary #realtalk #howtolife #realvibes #storytime

For some, the thought of earning a living through artistic endeavors such as painting or game design is enticing, yet barriers and self-doubt frequently arise. It's important to acknowledge that transformation takes time; the journey to turn a passion into a profession may stretch over months or, even years. Therefore, setting realistic goals and breaking down aspirations into manageable tasks can lead to meaningful progress. Engaging in local art communities or participating in online game design forums can also ignite creativity and provide support. Balancing joy and practicality requires dedication, but the rewards of pursuing what truly makes you happy can lead to personal satisfaction and growth. Ultimately, it's essential to stay true to oneself and embrace the journey of self-discovery and fulfillment.
