3rd Time is a charm…..or naw!

Vulnerability

🤍 My Story:I was married twice in my early 20s to black American men…. After the last one I lost myself he almost got the best of me! But I was born to be a wife I would say lol and that I am I met an amazing man a Ghanaian man and decided to fly across the world and say I do AGAIN! Here is the thing the lessons that I am learning about myself is out of the world… and the patience you have to have is worth rubies and Gold. The distance is still a huge issue for us and definitely puts a strain on the marriage, as an American I never have learned about so many laws and the importance of immigration law and or regulations but we are yet holding on and waiting for our yes from the government ughhhh

🤍 How I Felt: Blessed beyond measure

🤍 My Takeaways: beauty comes from your ashes….. just look at this single mom of 3 divorced twice goes and have the wedding of my dreams traveling around the world…. And for every body that fears international marriage and the nay sayers on marriage to African men,,,I say I’ll always be grateful for the experiences and new connections.

... Read moreNavigating the complexities of relationships often requires embracing vulnerability. My journey has been filled with challenges, especially after two marriages to black American men. I found myself lost in the process but ultimately discovered a new path with my Ghanaian husband. Our international marriage comes with its own set of hurdles, primarily the challenges posed by immigration laws and distance. The transition has not been simple; understanding the nuances of different cultural expectations can be daunting. However, the beauty of love lies in overcoming these obstacles together. As a single mother of three who never let past failures dictate my future, I found empowerment in my vulnerability. It’s essential to recognize the tremendous growth that can come from past experiences. For anyone considering a cross-cultural marriage, it’s vital to maintain an open dialogue about expectations and challenges. Many may fear the unknown, but with love and commitment, it’s possible to thrive. Sharing experiences can alleviate fears surrounding international relationships, especially when navigating cultural differences with African partners. Embrace the journey, trust the process, and cherish the connections you make along the way.
