this is my second marriage, need to vent 🙃
It’s a long post I’m sorry!
Okay so I’m engaged to the love of my life, and he said I can wear whatever color I want to OUR wedding…. But I have family members telling me I can’t wear white or any shade close to that because I’ve been married once ( divorced less than a year later because I was his second choice ) anyway I didn’t get an actual wedding ceremony or anything with my first because it was rushed and he “wanted” it but i didn’t ( abusive relationship).. but I really want to experience wearing white or something close like that… am I wrong for wanting to wear some shade of white to my own wedding???
Weddings can be a complex emotional journey, especially for those marrying for a second time. It's important to carve out your own vision for your big day. Wearing white has long been a traditional symbol of purity and new beginnings, but the meaning of your choice goes beyond societal norms. As you prepare for your wedding, consider embracing what feels right for you. Online communities and forums can be excellent places to share experiences and gather support. Many brides have navigated similar concerns about attire and family expectations. Engaging in conversations with your fiancé about your feelings and desires can strengthen your bond and ensure you’re both on the same page regarding wedding plans. Additionally, consider the significance of your relationship, and remember that every wedding is unique to the couple’s journey. Take time to reflect on what you want your day to represent, and don’t hesitate to advocate for yourself. Ultimately, your happiness should take precedence as you step into this new chapter of your life.
