I swear I need suggestions. Doesn’t matter what brand or gel, my hair turns white/flakes. I need help

If there’s too much product on the hair it will do that. Maybe use less edge control and a little water to keep the white away. I also use just a tiny bit of gel to keep it all in place 🥰 works for me
