I recently learned about the incredible physiological changes that happen at different stages of a walk, and it totally blew my mind! Even just 1 minute of walking gets your blood flowing. By 5 minutes, my mood improves noticeably, and honestly, it’s like a mini therapy session. Around the 10-minute mark, I feel my cortisol levels reducing, which helps calm that frantic feeling from a busy day. Pushing to 15 minutes? That’s when the benefits extend to blood sugar regulation – such a simple way to support your body! But the real magic for a full-body fitness boost happens when you go longer. Reaching 30 minutes is when my body truly starts to kick into fat-burning mode, which is fantastic for managing weight.
