It’s a unique kind of love, offering a blend of friendship, guidance, and endless fun, without the everyday pressures parents face. I personally cherish every single moment, especially those unplanned, happy moments like our recent beach trip. Just thinking about it brings a smile to my face. Seeing my young girl with her curly hair, rocking her bright green top, laughing and playing by the water's edge, makes my heart swell. Those outdoors adventures, under the bright sky, are what it's all about. As a smiling woman, I always try to capture these precious memories. It’s not just about the big gestures; it’s about sharing simple joys and making them feel loved and special. For any titi out there looking to strengthen their bond, or for those new to the auntie squad, here are a few things I've learned that make our time together unforgettable. First, be present. Put away your phone and truly engage in their world, whether it’s building sandcastles or chasing waves. Second, embrace their imagination. Let them lead the play, even if it means getting a little sandy or messy! And third, create traditions. It could be a yearly beach trip, a specific dessert you bake together, or even a 'titi-and-niece' movie night. These small rituals become cherished memories they’ll carry forever. One of my favorite things is watching her discover new things. On our last beach visit, we collected seashells and she insisted on finding the 'prettiest' one for me. We took so many fun selfies, capturing the pure happiness of our day. It’s these small acts of love that truly define what it means to be a titi. It reminds me that being an auntie isn't just about celebrating them; it's about finding joy in their joy, and rediscovering the world through their innocent eyes. This bond is a treasure, and I wouldn't trade being a titi for anything.
