When I first received this 18-inch ring light from Amazon, I was excited by the size and brightness it promised. The package was quite large, which matched the expectation of the light being substantial and impactful for photo and video lighting setups. As I unpacked it, I noticed that assembling the ring light required using some tools, which is pretty typical for lights of this size. The instructions were straightforward enough to let me get it set up in little time. One thing I quickly realized was the base's build quality wasn’t as sturdy as I hoped. It felt somewhat flimsy, which made me worry about the phone holder stability during use. Having a secure phone holder is crucial, especially when recording or taking photos over extended periods. Despite this, the brightness of the ring itself was impressive, producing clear and even lighting that greatly improves image and video quality. I particularly appreciated the convenience brought by the included remote control and its Bluetooth connectivity. The remote makes switching settings on the fly easy without needing to fiddle directly with the light, which is a real plus during shoots. The light offers multiple brightness levels allowing me to tailor the lighting perfectly to the environment. Even though the stand could be better, the overall value was excellent since the ring light was free after an Amazon return process. I decided to keep it for the bright ring and useful features while being careful with the base. If you’re considering buying this light, just be mindful of its stand quality. For me, it’s a great addition to my setup, enhancing my content creation lighting significantly.
