I’m not sure what it is—I’ve never watched hockey in my life and couldn’t tell you a thing about the sport. But give me a hockey romance novel, and I’m instantly hooked. There’s just something about that sport.
I absolutely love the way Bal Kahbra writes—the characters, the banter, the found-family dynamics, the friendships, the relationships… it’s all so good.
If you're a fan of another ultra-popular hockey romance series (*cough* Maple Hills by Hannah Grace *cough*), I’m confident you'll love the Off The Ice series as well. I firmly believe there’s never too much of a good thing, and great hockey romances definitely fall into that category.
This story has all the best tropes, plus two main characters you’ll fall head over heels for—not to mention the fantastic secondary characters we met in book one, Collide (which I also highly recommend, by the way).
I can’t wait for you to fall in love with Sage and Elias when Spiral comes out at the end of the month. I have a feeling you're going to adore them! 🏒 🩰
Hockey romance novels have seen a significant surge in popularity, captivating audiences with their unique blend of sports and heartwarming narratives. 'Spiral', the latest offering from Bal Kahbra, is a shining example of this genre, combining the thrilling backdrop of hockey with tender romantic elements. Readers are drawn to the chemistry between characters, the ups and downs of relationships, and the close-knit community often portrayed in such stories. As previous installments like 'Collide' have demonstrated, this series excels in character development. Fans can expect to see beloved secondary characters returning, enriching the storyline with their dynamics and adding depth to Sage and Elias's journey. Often, these secondary characters play pivotal roles in pushing the plot forward and providing comic relief amidst the romance. Additionally, hockey romance novels often incorporate relatable tropes, such as 'enemies to lovers' or 'fake dating', exemplified in 'Spiral'. These relatable themes resonate with readers, making the story more engaging and enjoyable. The portrayal of the sport itself also adds a layer of intrigue, even for those who may not be familiar with hockey. For readers seeking their next obsession, 'Spiral' is a perfect fit. With its engaging narrative, rich character relationships, and the thrill of hockey woven throughout, it invites readers to embrace a world where love and sports intersect. Don't miss your chance to experience this enchanting tale when it's released! 🏒🩰
