Beware- Storytime
Viral Pennie items for dollar tree. I found out by my favorite DT store that whatever pennies items don’t sale they are going to full price again before the summer hit. Not even to the garbage cans but back to full price. 😱🤔
Also major important tip always checked the items. Story time/rant. I always check on the dollar tree app if your stores don’t have scanner. When the item said “item not found” should be a penny right? Well now most DT are correct the price back to full price. Upon researching they are using this “Pennies” to get rid of extra inventory or in certain stores. Items that’s have low shrink or low population to restock order items. I found rice face masks they came up at item not found. My store doesn’t have scanner so I asked nicely how much are them because the app is showing a different price. That when I found about all the deals are going back to full price by the summer. They wouldn’t sell them to me. I wanted to my friends and followers be aware of the situation. Any one else heard about this?
From my own experience shopping at Dollar Tree, these penny deals were always a jackpot for snagging great products at rock-bottom prices. However, it seems the strategy of using “pennies” to clear out excess inventory is changing. Many stores are reverting these marked-down items back to their original prices before the busy summer season. I recently noticed when checking the Dollar Tree app that some products, especially like the popular oatmeal essence face masks, now show as “item not found,” which typically meant a penny item. But now, this indication could mean the item is no longer discounted. Stores without price scanners often leave customers guessing, so it's smart to ask staff directly—or better yet, keep an eye on price changes via the app if your local store doesn’t have a scanning system. Also, it’s worth mentioning that these penny items tend to be products with low shrink rates or less restocking demand, which means the discounts are part of an inventory management tactic. When trying to buy some of these items to share with friends, I found that stores were reluctant to sell penny items at reduced prices once the change happened. For avid Dollar Tree shoppers, this means it’s more important than ever to regularly check prices and act fast when you spot a deal. Don’t wait around hoping for penny items because they might disappear or revert to full price quickly. And for beauty products like face masks, keep checking multiple stores or online to find the best deals before summer hits. Have others noticed similar price shifts at their Dollar Tree? Sharing these insights can help our community save money and avoid disappointment while hunting for penny deals.
