January Journal Spread
I decided for this year I’m going to set up each month based on books, shows, or movies I enjoy. January I decided to set up base off of a Peter Pan retelling that I read recently called Hooked. I’m really happy with how this turned out.

January is a fantastic time to kickstart your journaling journey, and drawing inspiration from captivating stories like 'Hooked' can make it even more enjoyable. This month, consider incorporating a theme based on your favorite narratives, whether they come from books, television, or films. By thematic journaling, you not only inject creativity into your practice but also make your journaling sessions more relatable and fun. In addition to the layouts you’ve already planned, don't forget to add sections that allow for reflection on how your favorite characters can inspire your daily life. Perhaps create a 'character of the month' focus to encourage deeper connections with the stories you love. Also, integrating daily prompts related to the plotlines and character arcs can motivate you to jot down thoughts or even sketches as you channel your inner creativity. Water trackers and workout logs are excellent, but you might also want to include gratitude entries or 'highlights of the month' sections where you can celebrate small victories or memorable moments. These elements will enrich your journaling experience, making it not just a record of activities but a source of positivity and inspiration. Lastly, connecting with communities—both in person and online, such as through the #bulletjournal and #journalideas hashtags—can provide additional motivation and spark fresh ideas for your January spread. Engaging with fellow journal enthusiasts may lead to discovering new layouts, tips, and styles to implement as you go along.
