From my experience, harsh treatments or overly intense serums often upset the skin barrier, causing more harm than good. For instance, I found that some vitamin C serums, while promising radiance, made my skin purge excessively and feel irritated, so I decided to steer clear of those. I’ve had excellent results with the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. It’s incredibly hydrating and helps soothe and repair my skin without clogging pores, making it great for those who want to “slug” their skin overnight without worries. Similarly, the I’m From Rice Toner has been a staple for me—it’s mild yet effective at fading sun spots and maintaining moisture balance, which really helps in calming my skin down and improving clarity. What also works well for me is cleansing with a Green Tomato Clay Pack Cleanser. It’s excellent for controlling oiliness and soothing occasional breakouts, which are common struggles when seeking that clear complexion. Plus, I love using toner pads like the Jiyu Toner Pads, which gently exfoliate and brighten the skin while supporting the skin’s barrier—a crucial step that many overlook. From my personal trials, I would advise avoiding certain products that promise tightening or intense effects but end up irritating or providing no real benefit. It’s important to listen to your skin and choose products that nurture rather than stress it. My advice is to prioritize hydration, gentle exfoliation, and soothing ingredients, which together promote healthier, calmer, and clearer skin in the long run. This holistic approach not only improved the appearance of my skin but also enhanced its overall wellness, aligning perfectly with natural beauty and wellness tips I’m passionate about sharing.
